Billy Barton, founder of Billy Barton-Accountant LLC , helps small business owners in the trades/home services industryhave peace of mind by knowing their bookkeeping is up to date and accurate so they can make better business decisions based on their financial position. With over 40 years of experience in the accounting field, he has started and sold 2 accounting firms that he grew to six figures and sold them for 2X the company billings. Billy is a self taught accountant that learned the accounting business by taking a home study course in accounting because he was not able financially to attend college.His interest in accounting started with his first job working for a transportation company in their tax department and found taxes interesting. He later went on to work as an accountant for a retail building supply company, a heavy equipment company and a retail hardware supply company. Billy is certified as an Advanced QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. a QuickBooks Online Payroll ProAdvisor, and certified in Gusto payroll. When Billy is not working, he and his wife of 50 years enjoy spending time with their 4 grandchildren and Billy enjoys playing golf and fishing at the coast.
